Well it seems like I can only get my act together to do Friday Favorites posts, but I promise I will work on getting better at adding more through the week. This week I am going to share a few of my favorite things from this past week.
New Workout Gear
For the past few years I have been wearing way too much Lululemon and to be honest I am a little sick of it……It has become to much of a “thing.” I have been trying new workout lines like Zella and Fabletics and have bought some great pieces. I decided to give Athleta a try and I love my new stuff!
Chakra Sweatshirt ……just saw its on sale!!
Its perfect for the cooler Spring mornings and its the same amazing fabric as my sweater
I love that all these pieces can be worn to the gym but also for a casual look. The shoes can be worn with jeans and a plain tee for a day of running around with the kids. The sweater is the softest thing I have ever felt and already I want it order more in different colors and styles.
This stuff is the best dry shampoo I have tried so far, and I have tried a lot of different ones! I hate washing my hair and probably should do it more often but this stuff seriously saves me. It is also one of the only dry shampoos that I have found that eliminates sweat.
I have been loving the beautiful weather we have been having! It has been in the mid 70s here for the past week and it has been amazing. Being able to play outside and go on walks feels so nice and makes me so excited for the Spring and Summer.
The kids have been able to talk me into yogurt most hot days after school!
Celebrating the Small Things
Today is St Patricks day and I can’t wait for the kids to wake up. I love doing little things for every occasion…..and yes my husband thinks I am crazy!
Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Since the weather has been so nice out these lettuce wraps have been super refreshing. I made a double batch and had them for lunch everyday this week! To make them whole 30 approved you can omit the honey and brown rice.
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 lb lean ground turkey
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 yellow onion, diced
4 Tbsp coconut aminos
2 Tbsp raw honey
1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger
1 cup cooked brown rice
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1 head butter lettuce
Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium high heat. Add
ground turkey and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes,
making sure to crumble the turkey as it cooks; drain
excess fat and set aside. Add garlic, bell pepper and onion
to the saucepan. Cook, stirring frequently, until tender,
about 3-4 minutes. Stir in honey, liquid aminos, and
ginger to ground turkey until well combined. Add rice and
green onions and gently toss to combine. To serve, spoon
about 2/3 cup of the turkey mixture into the center of
lettuce leaves, taco-style. Top with green onions
-Makes 4 servings. Serving size is 2/3 cup turkey mixture
I hope you have all had a great week and I promise to have more than 1 post next week!! Today is the start of our 2 week spring break and I am so excited to spend some time with the kids and get some projects done around the house.
